Hannah Rocklein, age 26, called police saying she was lost around 9:45 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 3, Tewksbury Police Chief Ryan Columbus reports. Rocklein then hung up the phone, but her call was traced to 270 Main Street, Columbus said.
Police searched the area but were unable to find Rocklein. She then called police again saying she was in the area of Veranda Avenue.
Officers then found Rocklein and determined that she was wanted on two active warrants out of Fall River District Court, both of which charge assault and battery on Ambulance Personnel.
When police tried arresting her, Rocklein physically resisted, kicked an officer, and tried punching another. She also reportedly kicked the inside of a police cruiser while she was taken into custody, Columbus adds.
During booking, Rocklein kicked officers again, punched one officer, and tried punching another. She was restrained without injury and placed in a holding cell. No major injuries were reported, Columbus said.
Rocklein was arraigned on the following charges in Lowell District Court on Friday:
- Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon (Three Counts)
- Assault and Battery on a Police Officer
- Assault (Two Counts)
- Resisting Arrest Warrants
